We purchased land in the Unicoi County mountains before relocating from Texas in 2022. After interviewing multiple local builders and looking at homes they’d built, it was apparent to us that Patterson Homes was best suited to take on our project.

Travis and his folks listened very closely to our ideas and offered up suggestions throughout the entire design and build process. In fact, everyone at Patterson was so involved and responsive, it seemed that they were focused solely on our home (in reality, they were managing numerous projects). The same level of flexibility, personable service and professionalism extended to each of the subcontractors as well. We were introduced to each of them during the walkthrough and encouraged to work directly with them to make sure the house was exactly how we wanted it.

Having access to the Buildertrend app made day to day communications with the team and keeping track of the progress incredibly simple. In fact, we traveled for 3 months in the middle of construction, and it was like we never left.

Several of our neighbors who were building with other contractors at the same time told us they were envious of how smoothly our build went. Beyond being impressed by the quality of work, each noted how progress was being made daily on our home while theirs would be sitting idle waiting on materials and/or people to get the job done. While neither of our neighbors would choose their builder to do another house for them, we would absolutely use Travis and the team at Patterson again.

In June of 2021, we entered into a contract with Patterson Homes to build our retirement home in Chase Meadows, Kingsport Tennessee.  At the time, we had no idea how the Covid 19 and supply chain challenges would impact us but in hindsight, it may have been one of the most challenging times in recent memory to build a new home for housing contractors!

Through it all, Patterson Homes was simply outstanding!  Their professionalism and outstanding reputation enabled them to work with suppliers and subcontractors to overcome significant hurdles in order to complete our home with impeccable quality and craftsmanship.  Their customer service and incredibly good follow-up put us at ease and gave us the confidence to know that we made a good decision going with Patterson Homes.  We especially would like to recognize Mike Myers and Kressia Ferguson who both were accepting and mastering their new/changing roles within Patterson Homes, while working with us, and again, their quick follow up and information sharing was great!

We have been enjoying our new home for about a month now and they are continuing to provide outstanding service as we work through the inevitable “punch list” items that come with all new construction.  To sum it up, we absolutely love our new Patterson Home and working with Travis’ team was a pleasure and a blessing!

We chose Patterson to build our new home. All of their staff were terrific to work with during the entire construction project.  They were great at communicating and with their knowledge and experience, they helped us think through the various steps and choices we needed to make. I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to others!

I spent a lot of time interviewing several different builders and ultimately landed on Patterson Homes because of how they were very responsive and willing from the very start. When you are building a home things are always going to happen...things will change or situations arise that can be stressful. I have to point out that Mike on this team was right by our side the whole process through all of it and always responsive and willing to listen and address any issues that we had. Our home is beautiful and Mike made us feel like we mattered throughout the entire process and even now he continues to stay in touch and make sure all of our punch list items are being taken care of.

As with anything I tell people do your own research and do what feels best for you. For us, Patterson did an excellent job building our home and seeing us through to the end even in stressful times. That is what is important to me....not that everything be perfect....(because let's be real nothing is ever perfect.)....but that there is a willingness and a drive to follow up. Show that you care, and be present when needed. Mike did that every step of the way! Thank you Mike for everything!

When I think of Patterson Homes, the first word that comes to my mind is integrity.  Travis and his team are men and women of their word.  When they say they are going to do something, they do it!  We couldn't have asked for a better experience when building our dream home.  From our very first meeting with Travis and his staff, I had a sense of peace and excitement.  The team listened to every detail of what our wishes were, were very mindful of our budget, and offered suggestions when asked.  Travis, Mike, and staff are very knowledgeable of the high quality materials and products used during construction.  When we set out to build our home, two of the most important aspects to us were turn around time and budget.   The staff at Patterson Homes kept our budget and timeline at the forefront of the build process.  We moved into our home on time and within our budget!  His team communicated with us on a regular basis on what was next in the process, both in timeline and budget expenses.   Most importantly, we were involved in every step, every decision, and our voices were heard.  His superb customer service continued even after we were handed the keys. He and his team have been available to answer questions and have returned to our home to address those questions.  Building a home with Patterson Homes was one of the best decisions our family made.

We cannot say enough good things about our experience working with Patterson Homes.  This was our first time building a home so we had a lot of questions.  Travis and the rest of the staff were very patient with us, answering all of our questions and guiding us along the way.  We were so happy with the communication and customer service we received.  We had already chosen a house plan before our initial meeting.  There were a few things we needed changed in the plan, and they made it very easy for us to add or take away what we needed to in order to make the home fit our family’s needs.  Being able to choose all the finishes for our home was wonderful, and because we had worked out a budget in the beginning, they were able to help us determine what finishes fit within that budget.  The quality of the building materials used as well as the construction work was exceptional.  We built our home in a subdivision full of new construction.  Our home was completed in a very timely manner, quicker than many other homes that were built in our neighborhood.  We were honestly surprised at how easy and enjoyable the building experience was.  We think it all came down to the fact that we went with Patterson Homes to build our home.  We would recommend them to anyone thinking about building a new home.

Working with Patterson Homes was a fantastic experience. Our home is an exceptionally built home using only the finest materials. In over 30 years of home ownership I have built 5 or 6 homes. Our home built by Patterson Homes was by far the best experience. Quality and value describe our home.  The quality of the workmanship at a reasonable price delivered the value I was expecting and hoping for.  In my previous homes that I built there were significant problems with deadline timeliness or surprise expenses. With Patterson Homes all deadlines were met and there were no surprise expenses at the end of the project. I highly recommend Travis, Amy and team.
